Hey! Here’s a bunny I made especially for my friend Tom (IdiotApathy) and sent to him. He got it today so I won’t ruin the surprise by posting it here now! Made with acrylics on cardboard.
Hey, este es un conejito que hice especialmente para mi amigo Tom (IdiotApathy) y se lo mandé. Lo acaba de recibir así que ya no estoy arruinando la sorpresa posteándolo acá! Hecho en acrílicos sobre cartón.
Me and Fed have been working for a while for a small comics publisher of our city as freelance graphic designers. They’re currently releasing a series of books by Eduardo Risso and Carlos Trillo called Borderline, and since the final book is coming out shortly, we were asked, along with some other local artists and illustrators, to make a pin up page for the end of the series. And here’s my take on it, it was originally made in grayscale for the comic but I gave it a quick “colorize” filter in PS ’cause I thought it looked better.
Fede y yo estamos trabajando hace un tiempo como diseñadores gráficos para una pequeña editorial de comics de nuestra ciudad, que actualmente está editando una serie de Eduardo Risso y Carlos Trillo que se llama Borderline. Es una serie de cuatro libros, y como está por salir el último nos pidieron, a nosotros y a otros artistas y dibujantes locales, que realizaramos una página pin up para incluir en el mismo. Esto es lo que se me ocurrió a mí, originalmente era en grises porque así es la publicación pero para postearlo acá le di un rápido «colorize» en PS porque quedaba lindo.
I was in bed for a couple of days with a bad flu and did some sketches while I was getting bored there. Here are a couple of them (the ones that I found half decent, hehe) after I played a bit with them and some textures in PS.
Estuve en cama un par de días con gripe así que tuve tiempo de aburrirme y dibujé un poco para remediarlo. Estos son un par de los bocetos que hice, que me parecieron medianamente decentes como para subirlos acá después de que los toqueteé un poco y les puse unas texturitas en Photoshop.

Howdy! Just a quick post. I made this small pic for Fed, basically just because he likes pirates and monkeys, heheh. Here’s a small process: inks, then watercolors, and finally some color pencils and color touchup in PS. Enjoy!
¡Hola! Posteo esto rápidamente: hice este dibujo para Fede, básicamente porque le gustan mucho los monos y los piratas, jejej. Este es un pequeño recorrido por su proceso: tinta china, después acuarelas, y finalmente unos toques con lápices de colores y retoques cromáticos en Photoshop, ¡espero que les guste!
Here’s the finished illo I did. I painted it with acrylics but let the colored paper I drew her in show in some parts. I gotta say it looks much better in person! Damn my crappy scanner…
Acá está la ilustración terminada. La hice en acrílicos pero dejé que el papel de color apareciera en varios lugares. La verdad se ve mucho mejor en persona, mi escáner no es muy bueno que digamos…
But once I had it in my computer I thought I’d play around with some textures on it. Here’s the result of that, I think it’s rather nice.
Una vez escaneada y ya en mi computadora, probé agregarle algunas texturas y ajustarla un poco. Acá está la imagen resultante, creo que no está tan mal.
Here’s a pencil sketch of a picture I’m making for a friend. The katana looks weird but I’ll fix it! I’ll post the final version of this when I finish it. I’m pretty happy with it so far.
Este es el boceto a lápiz de una ilustracioncita que estoy haciendo para un amigo. La katana está media rara pero ya la arreglaré cuando la pinte! Ya subiré la versión final cunado termine, hasta ahora me gusta bastante como va quedando…
